AUHSD is a proud partner in the Anaheim Educational Pledge, a city-wide collaboration dedicated to student success. Alongside the City of Anaheim, Anaheim Elementary School District, Fullerton College, Cypress College, and our university partners, we are building a supportive network for our entire community.

A key part of this pledge is our commitment to cultivating the next generation of educators through a dedicated teacher pipeline.

Our Teacher Development Cycle:

• Mentorship: We begin by partnering with California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) and the University of California, Irvine (UCI), placing nearly 40 of their teacher candidates with our expert AUHSD mentor teachers each year.

• Hiring: We are proud to hire many of these promising candidates, bringing their fresh perspectives and local experience into our schools.

• Induction & Support: As new AUHSD teachers, they enter our Induction program to continue their professional growth, often supported by the very mentors who guided them as student teachers.

• Leadership: The journey comes full circle as these teachers gain experience and choose to become Induction mentors themselves, inspiring and guiding the next wave of educators.

This cycle of mentorship ensures AUHSD is home to a strong, deeply invested, and innovative community of teachers.
