Audiology Clinic Information
At the Barbara A. Roseman Center for Speech, Language and Hearing, Dr. Perreau regularly sees clients for hearing aid fittings, auditory processing disorder evaluations, and tinnitus and hyperacusis assessment and management that includes counseling and sound therapy devices.
She fits Widex, Phonak, and Signia hearing aids and uses real-ear measures to verify fittings.
Dr. Perreau has fit the Neuromod Lenire tinnitus device for bothersome tinnitus since 2023.
Finally, she has experience fitting Cochlear Nucleus and Advanced Bionics cochlear implants and received training in 2023.

Signs of Hearing Loss
Hearing loss may gradually occur over time. Symptoms of hearing loss may include:
Difficulty hearing in a group or with background noise
Asking others to repeat what they said
Misunderstanding others
Turning up the volume on the TV or radio
Ringing or other noises in your ears
In children, hearing loss symptoms may include:
Delays in speech and language milestones
Inattentiveness or the appearance of this type of behavior
Inability to hear TV or radio without standing right next to the sound source or turning up the volume
