Aurora aims to provide a space for users to be recommended videos that align with their interests. This is different from streaming platforms/tiktok as you select the category (documentary, animal, funny) and the videos will play automatically without need to physically scroll. This makes it ideal for users who want to watch videos together or those who enjoy having something on in the background while doing other activities.
The intended audience for this is broad by design, meaning that because we are creating so many different categories, there is something for everyone. Those who might get the most benefit from it would be people who want to curate their own channels. We expect a younger audience, but can also see the benefits of older audiences who would enjoy some of the retro specific channels that play without pause.
