Students will use this time to eat breakfast, unpack, and do morning jobs.

Please have your student here on time so that they can be ready for our day.

Morning meeting is a chance for students to get to know one another, build a classroom community, and make connections with what we are learning. You can read more about morning meeting here.

Whole group is where the entire class gets instruction on a concept like identifying characters, setting, and events, or main idea and details. We have read alouds and practice word skills.

Small groups is where we work on individual skills and read on each student's level. Students will also have time for independent reading and word work, as well as working with an aide.

Power Up is our additional support and enrichment time.

Please send your student with playground-ready closed-toe shoes and a jacket if the weather calls for it!

In math we are learning number sense, word problem skills, measurement, shapes, and more.

Our specials rotation is Music, Art, P.E., Library, STEAM, Guidance. You can find the exact days in your binder schedule!

We will rotate between science and social studies unit across the year.

Much like Morning Meeting, Closing Circle is a time for the class to build community and reflect on our day.
