At Audubon Preschool, students are taught and expected to demonstrate Safe, Respectful, Responsible behaviors such that they:
Prepare themselves mentally and physically for the process of learning.
Demonstrate respect for self, people, and property.
Take responsibility for their behavior and learning, as well as the impact of their behavior on the learning environment.
Use time and other resources responsibly.
Share responsibilities when working as members of a group.
Meet the unique requirements of each class.
Apply self regulation strategies.
Use problem solving strategies when addressing an obstacle of any kind during school.
Communicate with parents and school personnel about all school-related matters.
Seek assistance from an adult when they need assistance with a problem they can not handle themselves.
These expectations and values are taught through daily lessons, in interactions with their peers and teachers, and in the service projects and community events that the preschool engages in tthroughout the school year. In this way, we wupport the social emotional, character, and academic growth of our students so they can be prepare to safe, respectful, responsible learners, friends, and citizens when they transition to Kindergarten.
