Inaugurated in 2013 by the Lucchesi family, Auburn Riverside's inaugural boys' lacrosse team marked its debut season with an impressive winning record. Initially, the team was a composite entity, incorporating athletes from various high schools in the region, competing under the banner of Riverside. However, following a stellar 11-1 season in 2014, a decision was made to restructure the team, creating a non-composite entity exclusively representing Auburn Riverside's athletes.

Fast-forward to the spring lacrosse season of 2022, the Lucchesi's tenure as coaches concluded. Subsequently, Scott Perry, the founder of the Auburn Youth program, assumed the role of head coach, accompanied by assistant coach Jason Hamlin, a well esteemed and long-time coach for the Auburn Ravens Youth Football Program.

In the spring lacrosse season of 2023, the team recorded its first winning season since the 2014 restructure. With new leadership and a robust athletic development program in place, the team is poised for a promising future, further enhancing the legacy of Auburn Riverside's lacrosse.
