House Bill 1599 (2019) expanded the ways in which Washington students can develop their course plans and show their preparation for a meaningful first step after high school through:

AP CLASSES in ELA and/or Math
RUNNING START in ELA and/or Math

High School and Beyond Plans (HSBP) are a state graduation requirement designed to support students’ career and college exploration throughout their secondary education experience.
