Global Issues

Course Description

This course provides an in-depth survey of United States foreign policy, the function of the United Nations and its role in the world, economics and international trade in a global economy, and environmental issues as they relate to an interdependent world. The purpose of this course is to broaden and deepen student understanding of the world around them. The course will focus on specific themes that are connected to certain regions and/or continents. By the end of this course, students will be able to ask critical questions, and see connections in the world’s diverse economies and cultures.
