Aubree is a seasonal storyteller, an herbalist, and a person-centered yoga guide, who unceasingly ruminates on the complexities and nuances of life and the human experience.
Aubree Gail is a multidisciplinary artist who works mainly in interior and architectural design. A principal theme in Aubree’s work is the interconnectedness of natural rhythms and life. She tries to express both these elements through her artistry and finds the challenging medium of structural design to be a perfect reflection for the often uncontrollable and everchanging world around us. Our surroundings have tremendous power over our mood and behaviors, and harnessing that power can be a truly life enhancing experience. This is why Aubree is so fascinated by interior design. Her passion as a designer comes from a life-long obsession with creating harmony. From a young age, Aubree has engineered natural elements and materials in order to create a functional and organically integrated space. She finds that working with natural materials is a way for her to reconnect human lifestyles with nature. “To see pieces of stranger’s worldly creations slowly take shape to embody a sacred space for human life to flourish is almost magical.”
Aubree received her degree for Interior Design in 2018. Since then, she has performed at the San Francisco Designers Showcase. Exploring the intersections of social engagement and creative practice, Aubree has designed Residential Facilities and homes for people living with developmental disabilities. Her journey into creating authentic and tranquil spaces started beyond a decade ago. Each design project resulted in more referrals and she eventually expanded design services nationwide. She is deeply inspired by her travels and appreciates learning about the techniques and crafts of other cultures. Aubree draws from the aesthetics of Scandinavian and Greek influences. Her eco-friendly and primitive simplicity of interiors are based on the inspiration she gets from her trips to other countries.
Aubree however, had a lingering feeling that design was not the only service that fed her soul. Aubree’s greatest intention is to bring a healthy and fluent alternative to life's unconscious pace by helping others reconnect to the body’s inherent wisdom. Her spiritual practice explores hybridity within the whole being and the re-imagining of the self, identity, and culture through holistic arts and ancient poetics. Aubree loves being a life-long student of ancestral traditions and fulfills this with daily mindful practice and studies.
Committed to expanding her practice, Aubree has become a registered E-RYT 500 + RYT 500 + and certified Reiki Healer; and profoundly inspired by her own life journey, she advanced her studies in trauma informed yoga and Elevated Yoga. Aubree’s relationship with yoga was born out of the spirit of healing and has a pure intention to share the therapeutic components of a conscious yoga practice with others. With life experienced as a biracial female in the colonized states of the western world, Aubree is honored to be serving as a yoga sponsor for teacher training programs. She is a strong advocate for the transformational qualities of yoga and is grateful to be involved in guiding a community of conscious healers.
When not on the mat, you’ll find Aubree outdoors hiking and exploring the diverse landscape of this nation. Aubree travels the world with deeply rooted intention to rebuild a stronger bond with the native land and indigenous stories. She believes that life expresses itself through the form of our experience and reconnecting to the whole being can liberate our relationship with our MIND, BODY, LAND, and SOUL.
