Peer Mediation- Mediating conflicts between students, rather than only teacher and a student. Ideally, it would work similarly to a restorative circle, with a member of Youth Court acting as the mediator and leader of the circle.
Restorative Circle- Restorative Circle program, facilitates meaningful conversations between students and teachers to repair relationships, resolve conflicts, and build a positive school culture. Our primary goal centers around fixing the issue before it arises. Restorative Circles provide insight into what could be improved between teacher/student communication.
Community Outreach- The AHS Community Resource Sessions are collaborations between AHS, AHS Youth Court, and other local organizations. Community partners will utilize their area of expertise to tailor the experience to the needs of the students referred to In-School Learning during X-block.
