The guidance office receives many opportunities for our students to receive scholarships that are not always on the local level, on this page you will find opportunities that will reflect that. There is a variety of scholarships. Look over all the scholarships, there just maybe one for you. This page is always changing so check back frequently.

United States JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship Application - Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation grants $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually is at the discretion of the Foundation and must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study. Checks awarded will be made out in the name of the recipient and the educational institution of the recipient’s choice. From September to November of each year, each JCI Senate state organization (or foundation) distributes to schools and boards of education throughout their state the necessary application forms for determination of the recipients of scholarship grants. The deadline for return of the completed application forms to the state chairperson is January 11, 2019. If your state is not listed, you are not eligible. Do not submit the application to any address on the web page except those under the State Scholarship listing section (packages submitted to the wrong address will not be forwarded). THE PEARL HULL FALK SCHOLARSHIP - ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Protestant Faith, Resident of the State of Iowa, Attending the University of Iowa Full-Time. Deadline is May 18th, 2018

SFM Foundation - SFM Foundation provides scholarships to students whose parents were killed or seriously injured in workplace accidents while working in Minnesota, Iowa or Wisconsin employers. Deadline is March 31.

P.E.O. STAR Scholarship - A woman is eligible to be recommended for the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship provided she: Exhibits excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success Has a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Is in the final academic year (senior year) of her secondary education and is 20 years of age or under at the end of the calendar year Is a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada Plans to attend an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the United States or Canada, full-time or part-time, in the fall of the academic year following high school graduation Is recommended by and receives the vote of a local P.E.O. chapter See the guidance office for information regarding a local chapter member.

Mediacom World Class Scholarhip - Just like most families, the Mediacom family believes in the importance of higher education. As a corporation with strong community roots, we wanted to support, in some way, the higher education of our customers. For this reason, we formed World Class – The Mediacom Scholarship Program to help graduating high school students with their college expenses, such as tuition and books. Through the World Class program, Mediacom awards $1,000 scholarships to winning applicants.

Jerry Woods IRMCA Scholarship - Two-Year Scholarship* Now Available! $2,500+/year for a Compassionate, Conscientious, Concrete Enthusiast Seeking a Degree in the Building Trades. ELIGIBILITY We are seeking scholarship applicants who are residents of Iowa and entering their first year at an Iowa community college or tech school building trades program, including concrete technology and practice. The ideal candidate is an individual who has exhibited a focus and passion for learning, teaching, and expanding their horizons in the field of concrete construction. Actual experience in the building trades will be advantageous. Our desire is to find and assist others in following in the footsteps of Jerry Woods. HOW TO APPLY The Jerry Woods IRMCA Scholarship application may be downloaded from www.iowareadymix.org. The submittal will require an approximate 1,000 word essay describing your enthusiasm for a career in concrete construction through employment in the ready mixed concrete, construction, or engineering fields. Completed applications may be mailed, faxed, or emailed to the IRMCA office no later than November 30, 2016.

Iowa Women in Natural Resources Scholarship.pdf - Iowa Women of Natural Resources encourages young adults to pursue career in the natural resource fields. In doing so IWNR is sponsoring a scholarship. Requirements are: enroll in an Iowa university, college or community college, Pursue a career in natural resources, currently working a conservation project. Deadline is December 1st, 2015

Iowa State Fair Participation - Actively participate in the Iowa State Fair (past or present), Be a graduating senior from an Iowa High School, Plan to enroll at an Iowa college or university. Applicant must provide a list of activities they participated in during high school

Iowa Newspaper Foundation Scholarships - The Iowa Newspaper Foundation offers scholarships for Iowa college students preparing for a career in media. Students at any class level are encouraged to apply.

Iowa FFA Alumni Scholarship - Eligibility: The FFA Chapter has an Alumni Chapter in good standings with the State and National FFA Alumni Associations. The individual can only can apply more than once, but only receive the award once. Any active FFA Member that plans to attend one full year of college the next school year is eligible. The scholarship will be given directly to the school upon completion of the winners fall semester. Recognition: $500 is awarded to the winning individual(s) to be used towards tuition. The 5 State Finalists will be presented a certificate at the Iowa FFA Alumni Conference in January. The State Finalists will receive free registration to the Iowa FFA Alumni Conference.

Iowa Automotive Dealer Foundation Scholarship - Applicants must be committed to the pursuit of automotive-related studies, such as technician training, body shop/collision repair, diesel, new vehicle sales, parts sales, accounting, or business administration.

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Programs - DEADLINE TO APPLY: OCTOBER 25Through the generosity of its Members, the Association has awarded more than $125 million in privately funded need-based scholarships to more than 22,000 young people over the past 31 years in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Haney Family Archery Scholarship - Application Process and Qualification • Each student must fill out their own application on the provided form; they may submit up to two pages of additional information on the questions asked on the application. • Each school needs to submit a school reference form for each applicant. With a signature from school personnel such as Principal, Vice Principal, Athletic Director, Guidance Counselor or the teacher who taught the NASP® unit. • Each school must participate in the National Archery in the Schools Program during the school day and have reported their numbers through the proper online procedure. • The number of scholarships provided is dependent on the number of qualified applicants and the program’s current funding. Our goal is to provide at least three (3) $1,000 scholarships. • The scholarship award will be presented to the recipient(s) during the current graduation year’s Iowa NASP® State Tournament in Des Moines. • The scholarship team would appreciate if the school can also recognize the student during the school’s awards ceremony. Applicant Eligibility and Requirements • Iowa resident to apply • Current 12th grade High School graduating student who is currently taking or has taken NASP® during the in-school day within the current school year • Recipients must attend a qualifying college (two-year school, four-year school, or technical training institute) Submit the completed scholarship application and additional information as a typed document. Grand Lodge of Iowa Masonic Scholarship - The scholarships are designed to assist graduating seniors in pursuing a post-secondary education in any state at an accredited institution which provides a two or four year college program. The scholarships may be used for any bona fide school expense. Applicants need not have a Masonic connection Recipients are selected after completing a comprehensive written application and an in-depth personal interview. Application & related materials must be postmarked no later than February 1st, 2019

Grand Lodge MCEC Technical Scholarship - This scholarship will be awarded to a number of graduating Iowa public high school seniors who plan to enroll in a mechanical or trade course of study at an accredited Iowa Community College. Interested Students should first read the information to determine if they meed eligibility and selection criteria. Applications must be postmarked no later then March 1,

Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship 2015-2016.pdf - 4 $1500.00 scholarships. Applicants must be a voting member in good standing of West Central. High school senior graduating in spring 2016, GPA 2.5 or higher, Pursue a career in Agriculture or Ag-Related field. Due date Friday, January 29th, 2016

Christina Hixson Opportunity Awards - The Hixson Opportunity Award is a half-tuition grant (estimated value of more than $18,000 over eight semesters) to be used at Iowa State University. One hundred high school seniors from across Iowa will receive the award each year. Ideally, recipients will represent each county in the state. If you are a high school senior who demonstrates potential in ways that go beyond class rankings and test scores, you may wish to apply. Applicants must have completed the ISU Admission process and the FAFSA by January 3rd.

Cass County SWCD - Cass County SWCD if offering scholarships again this year. Graduating seniors that are continuing their studies in agriculture or natural resources only are eligible to apply. Applications are due back to the SWCD office by Friday, February 17th, 2017. The Cass County SWCD will accept the Conservation Districts of Iowa Scholarship form for their local scholarship, as well. Students will only need to fill out the attached application to apply for BOTH scholarships.

AXA Achievement Scholarship - Attention high school seniors: Are you active in your community? Have you led a project that benefits others? Have you overcome personal challenges? Do you possess the qualities to make you successful. Learn how AXA Achievement can benefit you. Winner in every state, the first 10,000 applications will be accepted so apply early.

Hagan Scholarship Foundation - www. hsfmo.org The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, designed to provide recipients with the opportunity to graduate college debt-free. Free workshops, Free Schwab Brokerage Accounts and Free Study Abroad provide recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum. Hagan Scholars can apply for a graduate scholarship after earning their undergraduate degree. Hagan Scholars have attended 429 colleges and universities located in 48 states. Recipients must attend an eligible public high school.

Iowa State University College of Engineering Scholarship The application period for engineering scholarships is from September 15, 2022 - January 10, 2023 for qualified students. To receive an invitation to apply for scholarships, students must have applied for admission to ISU.
