Your account allows you manage the settings for your profile and your course.
To start, you will manage the basic settings for the following key areas:
Notifications - allows you customize how you want to receive notifications for various Canvas activities
Profile - This allows you to manage your personal information such as contact details, a short description, and links to portfolios. Think of it as your Canvas business card.
Settings - allows you to manage settings for the whole account. This includes your full name, the display name, preferred pronouns, language, and time zone.
Before the start of the semester, you are provided with course shells where you will build your course content based on a syllabus.
Find your course on your dashboard.
Click on the dashboard.
Click on your course.
Click on Settings.
Click on Course details.
Click on Choose Image and upload a course image.
Edit the Course Name and Course code.
Set the Time Zone to Philippine Time.
Choose Course under Participation to be able to customize the posting time of course materials and announcements.
Set the course start date and time.
Set the course end date and time.
Under Grading Scheme, tick on the box to enable the course grading scheme.
Choose LS-Undergrad (or the grading system that applies to your course).
You may also create your own grading system by choosing New Grading Scheme.
Under Description, tick your preferred settings for the course. These are recommended settings for Ateneo courses.
Click Update Course Settings to save all settings.
Click on Navigation. The Navigation Settings are the options that the students will see on their navigation bar for the course.
Drag and drop the options to the bottom of the page to hide the options from the students.
These are the recommended settings for the Navigation Bar. The options may be rearranged by how you want the students to see them on their navigation bar.
