Crisis Fund

The School of Life Sciences Graduate Student Crisis Fund assists SOLS graduate students who encounter critical financial situations during the academic year. Faculty, staff, families and mentors of SOLS graduate students across the country make generous contributions that fund these grants.

In order to be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

• Enrolled full-time

• In good academic standing with good academic progress

• Have exhausted all financial aid options available

• Pursuing MS program

• Have a FAFSA on file

Some examples (but not all) of critical needs:

• Shelter

• Food

• Clothing

• Medical care

Events not covered by the SOLS Graduate Student Crisis Fund:

• Chronic debt or sustained financial shortfalls

• Legal fees or fines

• Tuition or book fees

• Transportation

• Stolen or damaged property

• Technology (phone, laptop, tablet, etc.)

If you meet the criteria, please click the button below to complete an application. Please note that the fund is limited and the amounts distributed can vary. There is no guarantee your request will be funded or funded in full per your request.
