The School of Life Sciences Graduate Student Crisis Fund assists SOLS graduate students who encounter critical financial situations during the academic year. Faculty, staff, families and mentors of SOLS graduate students across the country make generous contributions that fund these grants.
In order to be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
Enrolled full-time
In good academic standing with good academic progress
Have exhausted all financial aid options available
Pursuing MS program
Have a FAFSA on file
Some examples (but not all) of critical needs:
Shelter
Food
Clothing
Medical care
Events not covered by the SOLS Graduate Student Crisis Fund:
Chronic debt or sustained financial shortfalls
Legal fees or fines
Tuition or book fees
Transportation
Stolen or damaged property
Technology (phone, laptop, tablet, etc.)
