In order to be considered, students must submit their FAFSA for the academic year for which awards are being considered. Students will be reminded to do so in January for the following academic year. This is all that is needed to be considered for this award.
Following submission, ASU's Financial Aid Office will review and send SOLS a list of eligible students based on the need determined by the FAFSA. SOLS will review this list and consult faculty as needed to submit nominations to the Graduate College by their February deadline.
Awardees for the following academic year will be decided by the Graduate College and notified in the spring semester.
Please note that eligibility is determined by a student's current enrollment and anticipated aid. If a student is offered the GCUG and these items change, their need will be recalculated for the next academic year and it may influence the awarded amount the student will receive.
