Timeline

Develop and Submit Proposal (now)

For full consideration of your proposal, please submit by the following deadline:

• Projects starting in Spring: second Sunday of January

• Projects starting in Fall: third Sunday of August 

You may submit more than one proposal.

Proposals are made available for student bidding process

• Students evaluate projects and bid based on personal interest and skill match

Projects awarded to students

• Student teams contact their sponsors

Week 2 - Projects underway

• Meet with team (in person or conference call) every two weeks (minimum).

• Students are responsible for managing the project and meeting deliverable deadlines.

Week 7 (undergrad) - Preliminary Design Proposals

• Students present report in class related to how they propose to meet the requirements of the project.  Sponsors may request a copy of this report from the students.

Week 16 - (undergrad) End of Semester

• Sponsor assesses team performance - survey will be provided by ASU Capstone instructor.

Week 32 (undergrad) - Project completion 

(Please note: undergrad capstone projects that start in Spring will conclude at the end of the Fall semester, with a break during Summer)

• Final deliverables provided by students.

• Sponsor assesses team performance
