In February 2019, I received a Ph.D. in material chemistry based on inorganic chemistry from Kyung Hee University in Korea. During the Ph.D. course, I synthesized various materials such as layered rare earth hydroxides and metal oxides and applied them to bio and environmental applications. In March of 2019, I joined Scott Sayres's lab as a post-doctoral scholar. Currently, I am synthesizing and characterizing Psuedocarbynes, which are sp-hybridized carbon chains stabilized by gold clusters through pulsed laser ablation. Stabilized psuedocarbynes have the potential to be incredibly strong and conductive with nearly infinite possibilities and applications that I am interested in exploring.
In my free time, I enjoy getting to know my new home state of Arizona and hiking in camelback mountain.

I study ultrafast physical chemistry with a specific focus on the formation and dissociation of chemical bonds. Ive become interested in developing new models and understanding how energy moves around small molecules. When I'm not in lab, I am in the Phoenix area finding new great spots to rock climb or hanging with my cat! I also enjoy finding obscure music.

I came to AZ after graduating with my BS from Ohio. I have spent the past few years exploring the flow of energy around small atmospherically relevant molecules, such as CO2. I love hiking in the desert!

Being a native from Arizona, I graduated from Arizona State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. I loved being here so much, I just had to come back for more. I am now in the PhD program with an emphasis on Physical Chemistry. I currently work under Scott Sayres using laser ablation to study metal clusters in ultra high vacuum. It has always intrigued me to know the tiny particles that makeup every single thing around us and the properties they exhibit at such a small scale. In my free time, I enjoy working out, playing games, and spending time with friends. I also have a tendency to be good at random things that will never progress my life in any way.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Grand Canyon University in 2022. I was one of the first four to graduate with this degree from GCU and knew I wanted to further my understanding within the physical chemistry world. In my free time, I enjoy being with friends, board games, and going to the gym.
