How to Use this Course
This course is designed to support users from different roles and in different contexts to apply the resources, tools, and insights in their own settings.
The information from this toolkit can be used to facilitate the promotion of mindful connections to the environment -- Nature Connectedness. Whether you are a formal, non-formal educator, or feel empowered to increase your connection with your surrounding environment, this toolkit is designed to increase your relationship with the outdoors.
The design of this toolkit is to promote nature connectedness and sustainable behaviors. While the toolkit provides information for use in developing a relationship with nature, it also provides an example and starting point to be adjusted for teaching this topic in experiential ways. We suggest three primary ways to use this course successfully in your own role and context:
Adapt and Apply: Find ways to use the materials by adjusting them and integrating them into your own activities so that the toolkit supports you in achieving your learning and impact objectives.
Facilitate and Train: Determine which resources, activities, and examples can be used to support the learning of others in academic or applied settings.
Engage and Collaborate: Leverage the materials to create opportunities to work with partners that can work together to promote nature connectedness and sustainability.
