In this toolkit, you will learn about how implementing mindful connections with nature can change your perspective of your environment, producing sustainable outcomes. The toolkit can support formal and informal educators, as well as any individual who chooses to empower themselves.
The toolkit provides resources, examples, activities, and research on critical aspects of developing a sense of place (or connection with your environment) and applying techniques to strengthen the relationship between you and nature. We encourage you to explore all the techniques, but you may also want to move around to find the techniques that are most relevant for you and your relationship with your environment.
Course Objectives
The objectives for users of the toolkit are to:
Utilize tools and resources to cultivate a mindful connection with the environment
Apply mindfulness techniques to increase one’s connection with one's environment, resulting in systematic thinking about our relationship with nature.
Facilitate critical thinking about how human interaction impact the environment
