Introduces all new first-time Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College students to the unique elements, culture, challenges and opportunities of their university. Introduces future educators to the professional educator series and the themes that underpin the series, to include design-thinking, principled innovation, professional identity and legacy-minded thinking and actions. This first semester course is designed to build a sense of belonging and identity of Teachers College freshmen to the University, the college and the community. We will also explore our personal and professional values. Every assignment for this course is centered on those areas in an effort to familiarize students with campus events, services, and resources.
