Ensure the work is community focused, community-driven, and inclusive of historically marginalized populations in all stages of the research process, and
Promote research translation into practice for public health practitioners and community organizations.
Bridget Shanahan Herrick, Au.D., PASC is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University. Dr. Shanahan Herrick specializes in pediatric diagnostic evaluations, pediatric amplification, educational audiology, and central auditory processing disorders. Dr. Shanahan Herrick teaches academic courses for Aural Rehabilitation, Audiology Grand Rounds, and Central Auditory Processing Disorders. She is also a clinical preceptor for the ASU Speech and Hearing Clinic where she mentors audiology doctoral graduate students and undergraduate speech and hearing science students.
Erin Raczynski is a Registered Dietitian with over 10 years of experience in community nutrition. She is currently the Office Chief for the Office of Community Innovations in the Bureau of Nutrition and Physical Activity at the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). In this role, oversees and supports the administration of SNAP-Ed, population health dietetics including Language of Health style guide implementation and reducing weight stigma work, and early care and education nutrition and health programming. She has a passion for system building and agency alignment so that families can receive consistent, connected, trauma-informed messaging about nutrition and active living.
Roseanne Schuster, PhD, MSc is a global health and nutrition professional and Assistant Research Scientist in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change where she leads the MS in Global Health. Roseanne Schuster focus is on improving the delivery of health services in low-resource settings, the uptake of health care among vulnerable populations (e.g., refugees, migrants, pregnant people), and understanding how food/water insecurity shape infant/young child feeding and growth. Partnering with individuals and institutions making change in their communities is the best part of this work; supporting the capacity strengthening of students, colleagues, and communities is central to her research, evaluation, and teaching endeavors.
