MCHTRT would like to recognize Abdullah Virk for his commitment and dedication to the Smooth Way Home Program Telehealth Study in partnership with Southwest Human Development. Under the supervision of two graduate students, Abdullah joined this research team to help with a literature review and qualitative interviews with Smooth Way Home staff. He has co-authored publications and conference presentations while increasing his responsibilities in the project. He is now leading the Smooth Way Home qualitative interviews with participants for his own thesis project.
MCHTRT would like to recognize Nalani Thomas for her commitment and dedication to leading the completion of our website and for her outstanding leadership as Coordinator for the MCHTRT Project on The Effectiveness of Telehealth in partnership with the Smooth Way Home Program. The Telehealth Project analyzes the effectiveness of telehealth in-home visitation programs supporting families with babies that have been in the NICU and its impact on hospital readmission rates.
