This is an application that Stonebridge well inspectors will use to fill out their inspection forms. The user accesses the application, creates a form where they fill out the information that is applicable to the well, and converts that information to a csv file. That file can then be sent to the database manager via email, where the user can then access that information using Microsoft Access.

Checkpointing is a critical process in deep learning models for fault tolerance due to the long periods of time it takes to train a deep learning model. To improve upon this process, for a given deep learning model, its parameters can be compared to that of previous checkpoints and then shared accordingly. This will reduce the amount of parameters that will need to be written for the subsequent checkpoint thereby reducing storage space and performance time.

Our capstone group was tasked with creating multiple datasets for the Visuo-Linguistic Question Answering and the Visual Referring Expressions AI model tasks. This involved creating three datasets for the VLQA task: the Recipe Task dataset where recipe steps and visuals were scraped from the WikiHow website, the Pattern Generation Task dataset where pattern sequences were generated, and the Math Task dataset where math questions and answers were generated using templates. For the VRE task, we created a large dataset composed of three-dimensional object scenes, expression tuples containing a language expression for a group of objects, and a segmentation mask for every language expression.

This project was created to address construction site safety concerns and the fact that tens of thousands of construction incidents are reported every year, with nearly a thousand resulting in unfortunate fatalities. Thus, the goal of this project is to offer another layer of safety training that is more interactive, and representative of what workers will encounter while on the job in hopes that the safety information is retained and utilized in the field. To accomplish this goal, our team is utilizing virtual reality to immerse users in a construction site simulation and haptic feedback to mimic certain hazards or provide the tension that accompanies witnessing an accident play out.
