By the end of this unit, you will be able to edit your introductory talking head video using DaVinci Resolve and then upload it to YouTube and embed it into your Canvas course.
This module addresses the following objectives as you create your final talking head video:
Recognize basic tools and concepts within DaVinci Resolve in order to navigate the program.
Demonstrate the ability to import introductory and university bumper video files into DaVinci Resolve.
Demonstrate how to edit a video using DaVinci Resolve.
Demonstrate how to upload and share videos using DaVinci Resolve.
At the end of this unit, your video will be shared on YouTube and will be reviewed to determine whether it has met the Univeristy of Skaro brand-compliant requirements (including the bumper, video title, and required fades). You will be asked to submit your YouTube video url via an embedded Google form at the end of this training.
Lesson 1: Getting Started covers video editing concepts and terms, navigating DaVinci Resolve, and importing your media into DaVinci Resolve.
Lesson 2: Editing Your Video takes you step-by-step through editing your video in DaVinci Resolve including adding a title, inserting effects, and trimming your video.
Lesson 3: Sharing Your Video will show you how to upload your video to YouTube and post to your Canvas course shell.
