About Me

Mrs. Niemela is one of the counselors and one of the 504 coordinators at Combs Middle School. She has her Master of Arts degree as a Licensed School Counselor from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She has her Master of Arts in Education from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science degree in Math Education from the University of Michigan. 

Mrs. Niemela and her husband have recently relocated to Arizona from Minnesota. They have five children they have raised in MN. All their children played ice hockey and were actively involved in school. This kept them busy with all the opportunities that Minnesota has to offer.

She has worked with children in a multitude of settings and is excited to work with and serve the students and families of Combs Middle School!
