Dremel Digilab Laser Cutter and BOFA Air Filtration Unit
This Laser Cutter has a 12" x 24" cutting surface and can cut or engrave on materials that are 1" thick.
Instructions for operating the Laser Cutter can be found on the S.O.P. page. This includes a list of acceptable materials that can be used with the Laser.
The S.O.P. Page also includes manuals other information on running the laser.
The focusing puck is a small, round, black piece of plastic that looks almost like a kitchen magnet. It is used to adjust the height of the laser head to your project or workpiece.
This is a pre-filter in-line with the air tubing before the BOFA Air Filtration System. It is made of PVC tubing and couplers in order to attach it to the air tubing. Inside the filter is stuffed with AAAA grade steel wool (the finest steel wool that can be bought off the shelf at the Home Depot). The fine mesh of steel wool helps to catch any particles or dust in the smoke and air coming out of the laser in order to extend the life of the BOFA filter. The particles get caught on the wool and cannot go through.
The BOFA Air Filtration System removes any potentially harmful fumes or gasses produced during the lasering process. In addition it removes any particulate matter from the air going through the system, such as dust or smoke particles from the lasering process.
