School Counselor

I am starting my 4th year at Titan and I am excited to be serving the community of Huntington Park as a school counselor. I highlight the importance of social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, and restorative justice practices within Titan's comprehensive school counseling programming.

As a Latina first-generation college student, I'm passionate about advancing educational equity. I seek to understand the intersectional student experience by delivering school counseling services that enrich students’ lives.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, building legos, playing with my 2 pups, and bonding with my one year old baby boy. :)

School Psychologist

As the school psychologist, I am dedicated to supporting our students' learning and well-being through psychoeducational evaluations. With a strong passion for special education, my work is deeply personal—fueled by my experiences with my sister, who has Down syndrome, and my family’s background in education and psychology. My parents are from Nicaragua and St. Lucia, and I am bilingual, which helps my ability to connect with diverse students. Currently pursuing my doctorate in educational psychology, my research focuses on trauma and its impact on learning and development. This drives me to help cultivate safe learning environments that optimize student success. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exercising, and spending time with loved ones. ♥ 

A comprehensive school counseling program is aligned with the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Model and emphasizes the use of evidence-based practices in order to deliver effective and efficient services.

A comprehensive school counseling program aims to serve all students and set them up for success in 3 domains: academics, socio-emotional development, and college/career readiness.

Un programa integral de asesoramiento escolar tiene como objetivo servir a todos los estudiantes y prepararlos para el éxito en 3 dominios: académico, desarrollo socioemocional y preparación universitaria/profesional.

It is an inclusive program that utilizes systems of organizations, collaboration, and evaluation to provide a multitude of services for all students.
