Mental Health Savvy

Website: https://mentalhealthsavvy.weebly.com/

Welcome to Mental Health Savvy! The website contains information about:

  • Common causes and effects of mental illnesses

  • Myth and stigmas

  • Common signs and red flags

  • Coping, healing, and supporting

  • Addressing parents

  • Additional resources

We hope to address, educate, and provide for mainly Asian American teens about mental health and illness. The website contains resources for youth struggling with mental health as well as tips on how they can approach conversations about mental health.

Our process consisted of us:

  • Brainstorming ideas/topics

  • After deciding on a topic, refining and dividing subtopics evenly to research

  • Creating a list of evaluative criteria and a list of deadlines

  • Individually researching and writing rough drafts, which we then peer edited/provided suggestions

  • Brainstormed website names then created a group email

  • Transferring our information onto our Weebly website

  • Adding images

  • Final tweaks (Citations, links, formatting, etc.)

We would like to acknowledge Group 3 (Hui Yi, Elizabeth, Zoe, and anonymous) for providing information about the Model Minority Myth and Group 4 (Brielle, Megan, Yimeng, and Mary) for featuring their podcast on our site. A grand thank you to Ilona, Darek, Helen, and Eva for supporting us through the process of creating this website!
