In conclusion, many species of insects that we found were present across multiple environments, demonstrating a widespread population and presence of certain arthropods across varying environmental conditions and different green spaces surrounding NEIU. Our most commonly found insects were leafhoppers, with these little bugs being plentiful in every environment that we investigated, along with a few other types of arthropods (ants, harvestmen, orbweavers) being repeat offenders for being caught in our nets. In the areas around NEIU, it can be conclusively said that the varied environments have minimal effect on the overall biodiversity of this region as a whole, with many species crossing boundaries and being actively found despite- or maybe due to- the distance between areas.
