Parents are their child's first and most important teacher- but babies don't come with instruction manuals and parents often feel alone as they face the 'roller coaster' of parenting a family. The Ashwaubenon PreSchool and Parent Learning (APPL) program supports and strengthens parents' confidence in the important role they play in a child's life. Summer APPL classes will be held at Cormier School- 2280 S. Broadway, in Ashwaubenon. This course does not meet according to the regular summer school schedule. This course only meets certain dates which will be shared closer to summer.
Bugs! Bugs! Bugs!

Chess, Chess, Chess

Computer Creations for Kindergarteners

Students will have a blast making computer creations in this course using Google products, the internet, and Microsoft products. Students will learn to create postcards, puzzles, greeting cards, stickers, word searches, posters, letters, brochures, and more! This is a great class for anyone interested in computers.
Fine Motor Fun

Get Fit!

Get Fit is a fun and motivating class that will engage emergent learners in developmentally appropriate activities that will enable them to be academically successful. Students will learn to engage both the brain and the body when asked to perform two separate skills. By performing two tasks at once, students will learn both tasks faster and skills become automatic. This class will focus primarily on movement and activities that will exercise the brain and body.
Literature Adventures

Students participate in the world of fantasy, literature, and creativity including art projects that are related to literature. Students will make artwork, engage in creative play, and be motivated to expand their reading interests and imaginations.
Learning Through Language

In this course, students will explore and practice a variety of language concepts through fun and engaging activities. New vocabulary will be taught in a variety of interactive ways. Students will get a chance to learn about the tricky rules of grammar and sentence structure. We’ll practice being creative storytellers as well as understanding story structures and making predictions.
Martial Arts Camp

This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of mixed martial arts. Students will learn basic skills and self-defense techniques. Stretching, increasing strength, and cardiovascular conditioning will be a focus. At the same time, there will be an emphasis upon lifelong learning habits: discipline, respect, confidence, self-esteem and leadership. Students will receive a karate t-shirt and will earn their first belt!
Ready for 4-Year Old Kindergarten

Children who will be attending the Ashwaubenon 4-year old kindergarten are invited to attend this class. Children will enjoy a preschool experience where they will interact with the teachers and the environment in order to develop their skills in the following areas: cognition, communication, motor development, self-help, and social/emotional. Registration information regarding this course will be mailed to all incoming four year old students' families. This class will be held at Cormier School- 2280 S. Broadway, in Ashwaubenon. If your child is taking a bus, a shuttle bus will be provided back and forth between Parkview Middle School and Cormier.
Ready for Kindergarten

Children who will be attending 5-year old kindergarten are invited to attend this class. Skills necessary to success in kindergarten will be developed or strengthened, including: visual, auditory, and language skills. Students will work on cutting, pasting, drawing, painting, and participation in group activities. Registration information regarding this course will be mailed to all incoming kindergarten students' families. This class will be held at Cormier School- 2280 S. Broadway, in Ashwaubenon. If your child is taking a bus, a shuttle bus will be provided back and forth between Parkview Middle School and Cormier.

This course will zero in on each child's specific needs through the use of learning centers. Each day provides a wide variety of new experiences where children can work at their own pace using creative games, crafts, and educational tools to promote learning the basics of grade 2.
