1. Pick your target curriculum
2. Plan your activities (the answers have to fit the configuration of a lock code- example: 4 numbers or 5 letters
3. Make copies of the activity pages and put in envelopes with pictures of corresponding locks.
It is fun to hide the clue envelopes around the room before the breakout and have the kids search for them
4. Set your locks to the desired combination (to match your clue answers)
5. Put your breakout signs and desired objects (such as rewards or stuffed penguin) in the box.
Place the hasp on the clasp of the box and place locks in the holes of the hasp.
