In 3MAS @ ASHS you'll use statistical software to model real world situations, explore statistical populations and carry out simulations to explore probability situations.
This course will prepare students for first year university courses in statistics, data science, biology, biochemistry, commerce, health sciences and other social sciences.
There are 20 credits available in this course, 12 internal credits through the Statistical Report based standards - Inference, Time Series and Bivariate Data; and 8 credits from 2 external probability standards. (There are also 2 optional further internal standards (Linear Programming and Experimental Design) which may be offered in term 4). See the coursebook link below for further information.
The main Statistical software we use in 3MAS is INZight - made by the University of Auckland.
Note: there are two modules that we use so you need VIT as well.
