In 2MAS @ ASHS you'll use your graphical calculator and software to model real world situations, explore statistical populations and carry out simulations and experiments. You will follow the statistical inquiry cycle to investigate different types of data and situations.

This is one of two NCEA mathematics courses offered at level 2 and focuses on statistics and probability and the development of the mathematics skills required for more advanced study of statistics, probability and modelling.

There are 16 credits available in this course, 12 internal credits and 4 credits from the external probability standard. There are also 4 additional internal psychology credits which are offered when completing the experiments internal standard.
