In your level 2 Biology course you will be learning about the diversity of life on Earth and how it is related to the issue of maintaining biodiversity. You will be carrying out a range of different biological investigations and learning to communicate your understanding of biology. Your work will take place in the class and lab as well as out in the field.
MAHI/ACTIVITY: Aotearoa's unique species!
How many of these species can you draw and name as you watch this video?
We have selected the Biozone workbooks to support your learning in this course because they allow differentiation in response to a range of student goals and learning needs, including for course completion.
The workbooks have both an internal and external version in preparation for internal and external assessment.
The work to be completed is compulsory and indicated on the site pages.

Scholarship biology is an additional examination which students who gain excellence consistently across both internal and external assessments may wish to attempt and sit at the end of year 13.
In year 12 material in the workbooks in addition to what is set in the above course will need to be completed along with the use of other suitable resources as recommended.
It involves learning independently (with guidance from your teacher) and is a full-year commitment.
Create your own mihi/introduction to share with the class in a method of your choice.
Your challenge this year will be to know everyone!
