Observed at a "Friday Night Open House" event at Broemmelsiek Park. The visitors lined up did not make a good time for me to stop for a sketch, so I had to sketch from memory later when I got back home.
Estimated magnitude was 7, to perhaps 8. I was able to detect it in 10x50 binoculars, but just barely (Bortle 6 skies). Both Stacey and myself detected what we expect was the tail extending to NNE.
Movement was swift! At low power movement was easily noted in 30 minutes.
Some condensation toward center, but no p-nucleus. Coma was slightly elliptical.

Observed again at Broemmelsiek Park (as I could not view it at home, tried 3 nights in row and failed). This time in 25x100 binoculars. Just a dim amorphous blob, perhaps down to mag 9 now. No condensation to center noted, nor any color nor tail. Easily found just NW of alpha Capricornus.
