College Entrance Exam Update
In response to the recent closure of the UAA Testing Center, the Anchorage School District is actively pursuing official approval to become a designated testing center location for both the ACT and SAT college readiness examinations. Pending final approval from testing organizations, registration will open online through the official ACT and College Board (SAT) portals.
SAT/ACT Test Considerations
Accepted - do your target colleges accept this test?
Requirements - are any required for your program or scholarship?
Math - are you stronger in algebra and data analysis (SAT) or stronger in geometry and science reasoning (ACT)?
Time - do you prefer longer time per question (SAT) or a faster pace with more questions (ACT)?
Calculator - do you feel comfortable without a calculator sometimes (SAT)?
