1. Try accessing my Library Clever page. Open the fun-brary page and read with me in 'I'll Be Brave' or 'Itchy Little Musk Ox' units, or both!! The units have the read aloud AND activities to do - yeah!
2. In the Library Clever page, look at the other page with your family; it's called Digital Citizenship and it has video links...do you remember these lessons from last year? What things are NEW? What did you learn new or relearn? Make a book to write down your answers.
3. Next, try to access & read a book from: Tumblebooks (get there via SLED), it's FREE. This is also on our Weblocs page.
4. Then, read a book from Sora, (ASD Overdrive use Lexia login) or Epic (join with code beu3197),
5. Try to access your patron account on Anchorage Public Library (APL Overdrive)- Libby is the tablet/phone app,
6. Read/listen to a book from one of the READing websites on Weblocs. Draw what happens in the story!
7. Listen to a B.O.B. book and read along with me! Look at the page called, Battle of the Books! Start there and pick K-2. When you've finished those, and you're 2nd going into 3rd grade next year, head to the 3rd-4th B.O.B. website! I plan to add books this fall as I get the print book in the mail or curb-side pickup from the public library! READ-ON!
8. (NEW) Talk to your parents about signing up for APL Summer Reading - there are lots of prizes - digital badges, challenges and competitions! APL Summer READing with Beanstack ROCKS!! I'm signed up for an account on there, too, reading with my grandkids. Add to all that fun...if all of us read 250,000 minutes as a community, a sponsor will donate $2,500 to Bean's Cafe! Get YOUR Summer Reading Log NOW!! Whoo-Hoo!
Psssst...When you play/listen to a book, draw a picture of what you're thinking about from the story. Draw WHERE the story is happening, the characters, and WHAT happened in the story.
