Sixth Grade Honor Orchestra

Every year, outstanding sixth grade students enrolled in the Anchorage School District’s instrumental music program are given the opportunity to participate in the ASD Honor Orchestra.  Selection is based on auditions of students in the 6th grade who participate in the instrumental music program (either band or orchestra) at their school. 

At the audition, the student will play the attached music (Can-Can, Bluebird’s Song and a scale), and do some simple sight-reading. With receipt of this letter and application, you are being invited to audition for the 2025 Honor Orchestra.
