This is the recipe, receta, from the intermediate cooking lesson in February. Talk to someone at home about making this delicious simple dish! Consider sharing your experience with us whether in a video, images, or written story. ¡Comparte tu experiencia!
Esta es la receta del proyecto de segundo grado. Consider recreating these at home with your family and try to focus on using the Spanish vocabulary we learned in class. ¡Si tu puedes!
This is a dish that has many varieties. Ceviche can be found in many Spanish speaking countries with a local twist. For instance in Peru cold steamed sweet potato slices are served with their ceviche.
In the images to the right you will learn the names for las herramientas y los ingredientes que necesitan. (the tools and ingredients that you need)
You will also have a recipe that you can follow to make this version at home with your family. My first video take was funny but not helpful so that feature will come soon.
Once you have made your own version please email pictures to me or your classroom teachers. You could even post them on our school Facebook page depending on what is best for your family.
I look forward to hearing all about your culinary explorations!
This recipe is a mixture of both Spanish and English to help support your beginning explorations of cooking in Spanish or cocinar en Español. The most important guideline is to always allow the fish the sufficient amount of time to cook in the juices and be sure to clean your tabla de picar after cutting raw fish and before using it for other ingredientes. Often this dish is eaten with tortilla chips or even just straight out of a cup with a spoon!
El pescado picado en el tazón cerámica- no usas metal- con jugo de lima y limón
La cebolla morada y blanca picada con el pimiento picado y el cilantro y perejil
Casi todo mezclado espera 30 minutos y luego añade el aguacate
Also known as Tortilla Española, this is made with olive oil, potatoes, onions, and eggs. Mine is a little non-traditional in that I also added green peppers. Ours was so delicious I couldn't get a picture before a slice was taken out of it! This dish is often shared between 2 or 4 friends.
This recipe is written in Spanish, do your best to make sense of the text reading it over, finding clues, thinking back to our class cooking projects and give it a try!
Después de mezclar todo y salarlo cocina todo hasta que cuecen, y la parte más difícil (the hardest part), da la vuelta (flip it) a un plato, y cocina algunos minutos mas.
