Docket is a free, secure app that provides easy access to official vaccination records. You can download and carry a digital copy of your records anywhere at any time. For more information visit vaccinationrecords.alaska.gov.
People with symptoms of COVID-19 should get tested immediately. Those who test positive should notify contacts who may have been exposed. People with COVID-19 should isolate for at least 5 full days after their symptoms start (or positive test result in asymptomatic people) and wear a mask after leaving isolation for 10 days.
People who have been exposed to COVID-19 should wear a mask for 10 full days and get tested at least 5 full days after exposure. CDC no longer recommends quarantine of exposed persons in most settings, regardless of vaccination status.
Respiratory viruses circulate year-round in Alaska. Actions such as staying home when sick, washing hands, and improving ventilation can protect you, your family, and your community from COVID-19, influenza, and other infectious diseases.
PM Pediatrics offers quality health care to students who do not have insurance. Call me for more information
PM Pediatrics also recommends Dr. Susan Beesley’s practice of Mindful Pediatrics. It is for teens and preteens and has virtual health, meditation and discussion groups centered around teen issues.

Open check-out is all day, so stop in and check out some books to enjoy during these cool fall days. Our Battle of the Books team will be competing in the middle school district competition on February 8th at West High, so wish them luck!
Students need to bring Chromebooks every day to classes. Students who need an ASD Chromebook device can stop by the library any time to check one out. I can also help students with login, password, network, and other technology issues.
I will not be loaning out chargers or devices to students who forget theirs, so please remind your student to keep track of their charger and device. I recommend charging devices at home to avoid losing or mixing up chargers with other students.
The library is open most days at lunch. Students must have a library lunch pass to attend and need to eat lunch in the MPR first. Happy Reading!
I am having a book fair at Barnes and Noble on March 4 and would love as many Hanshew families to attend as we can get!
MIGRANT EDUCATION
Happy Asian Lunar New Year!
Congratulations to the 8 Migrant students with 4.0 last semester... a new best since I've arrived! I'm hoping this quarter is starting off better than the grades of 2/3rds of my students who have a D or F currently on Q/ParentConnect.
Homework help after school continues until 4:00PM for the extended day schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in room 224. Fuel cost reimbursement for qualified families is available with advance notice. This quarter has a Math teacher helping. Please
take advantage of this!
Sincerely,
Scott Bauer
