Welcome back to school! I'm so glad to have you in my class!
Our class is a learning community of about 25 fourth and fifth grade students. This site is designed to support student learning, both at school and at home, throughout the school year.
Alix McKee is the oldest of three children. She moved around a lot as a child and lived in California, Oregon, Washington and Tennessee before moving to Alaska. Alix has lived in Alaska since 1994. She enjoyed living in Fairbanks for six years, before relocating to Anchorage in 2000. Alix has been working in the field of education since 1996 and feels passionate and challenged by the intricacies of building and guiding a learning community. Alix currently works at Chinook Elementary and lives nearby with her husband, Geoff, and her son, Kieran. She is becoming a better and more humble educator through her own parenting journey.
