Because we are using our Google email addresses you will need to choose one of the following ways to communicate with Quick Key:

Forward your Gmail to your Outlook!
Use the Instant Messaging feature on the Quick Key site (they are super fast and helpful!!)

Task 1: Logging in to Quick Key

Create your Quick Key here: https://quickkeyapp.com/users/sign_in

Use your @staff.asd20.org email address

Task 2: Importing Students into Courses

You could import students into classes individually, but the quickest way is to use a Spreadsheet to create import lists.

Download the template either from QuickKey or in the Technology folder in Teacher Apps
- Go to Students on the left menu, click Upload Class Roster, then Download Spreadsheet Template (Excel)

Filter the spreadsheet by your name and then class period
For each class period copy and paste the required information into the Quick Key: last name, first name, email, *leave the student ID blank*, password (state ID) in the external ID column, and course assignment (Class name and period - EX. English I - 1st period)
Do this for each class and just change the course assignment but list them all on one Quick Key Template
Once you have copied all of your students into the Quick Key Template Spreadsheet, go to Save As and save your file
Go back to the Quick Key website and click Browse for file, choose the template file from your computer and upload it
Change the drop-down menus to match the info from the spreadsheet, then click Import Students

Upload rosters from Google Classroom!

Using Infinite Campus:

** Click on Courses on the left to view your classes that Quick Key created for you!

Task 4: Printing Pre-Slugged Bubble Sheets

Go to the Quizzes menu and choose Print Pre-Slugged Bubble Sheets. This will print the student names and QK numbers on the answer sheets for you
Choose the class you wish to print answer documents for
Choose the answer document you wish to print
- You choose the answer sheet that will fit the number of questions on your quiz. (For example, if I have 40 questions, I would choose Print 60 Q Sheet)
- Coming soon... 100 Q Sheets
10 Q sheets will print 4 per page, 30 Q sheets will print 2 per page, and 60 Q sheets will print 1 per page

Task 3: Creating a Quick Quiz Answer Sheet

To create a quiz that students will take on a pre-slugged bubble sheet with a paper copy of the quiz (not on the computer...

Go to Quizzes on the left and choose New Quiz and Simple MC Answer Key
Name your quiz
Choose which classes you are assigning the quiz to
In the tags field, you can add standards or skills that you are testing. (Later I will show how you can attach these to the questions)
Click Next
In the Simple Quiz Builder, first you choose your number of questions on your quiz
Then you will mark the answers to your quiz questions

**Note: you can have multiple answers to you quiz and set different point values for the questions.

After you've entered all your answers, click on Advanced Quiz Builder at the top of the screen

For each question click on the edit button to assign your standards tags (it defaults to all of them that you entered, but you can turn them on and off). Be sure to save each question when you are done
When you are finished, click Save and Preview at the bottom of the screen

Assign the quiz to the classes you want to take it. Go to Quizzes on the menu. Choose Add/Remove Courses for the quiz you wish to assign
Click the plus sign + and add the classes you want to assign it to and Save

Task 5: Scanning Answer Documents with the Quick Key app

First, you have to download the Quick Key app onto your phone or tablet. In your App Store or Google Play Store , search for Quick Key Mobile and download the app

Upon opening the app, you will have to log in with your account info (email and password)

Go ahead and click Sync Now at the bottom of your screen to be sure that your app is updated to any changes you've made online (do this every time you open the app!)
Notice you can also create quick quizzes right here on the app!
To scan a quiz, choose Scan a Quiz
Choose the quiz you wish to scan answer sheets for
Choose Use Student IDs to save your results
Choose which class you're scanning
Choose which answer key type you're scanning

Align the answer sheet the direction shown by the screen and scan your sheets! Scores will show as you scan each quiz.

Task 6: Creating an Online Quiz

To create a quiz that students will take either at a computer or on their devices, start on the Quizzes menu and select New Quiz
Choose Full Quiz
Name your quiz and assign it to the course and choose tags just like you did for the quick quiz
Click on Step 2: Quiz Questions
Choose the number of questions and go to Advanced Quiz Builder
Edit each question and input the questions and answer choices. Also, you can assign tags here and edit the point value for each question. Notice that you can add images to questions (think charts, graphs, diagrams, etc.)

Task 8: Viewing Reports

You can view reports either on the mobile app or the website. You can print custom reports from the website.

Go to Reports on the menu. Click on Run Report.
Choose which quiz and report type and report type, and Build Report.

It may take a few minutes to run the report. When the download is available, click the Download link and open the report

Task 7: Administering an Online Quiz

Once you've finished the quiz, go to Quizzes, select the quiz, and click Distribute Quiz Digitally

Students will either go to the link in their email or the website https://student.quickkeyapp.com to log in and take the quiz
The platform only allows students to take the quiz one time, and it can be done from any computer or device
