Closed Season – means athletes can condition/lift weights but cannot do sport specific skills    

Open Season – means athletes can do sport specific skills   

Dead Week – Athletes CANNOT do anything!  No kiddie camps, no fundraisers…NOTHING!

OPEN/CLOSED/DEAD PERIODS for 2025

CLOSED:  Current – February 28th

OPEN:  March 1st – 31st

(Current 6th graders are not allowed at March Practices)

CLOSED:  April 1st – 30th

OPEN:  May 1st – June 28th 

(Teams may host tryouts beginning May 1st, Rising 7th – 12th graders)

DEAD WEEK:  June 29th – July 5th

OPEN:  July 6th – 27th 

CLOSED:  July 28th – 31st 

(SCACA Coaches Clinic held in Greenville, SC)

(Cheer will host our clinic on Tuesday afternoon, July 29th and ALL day Wednesday, July 30th)

Debbie Rogers Cheer Classic will be NOVEMBER 1st 

at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia

OPEN:  August 1st – End of your Competitive Season

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 10th   STATE QUALIFIERS

NOVEMBER 22ND  STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

OTHER IMPORTANT DATES/INFORMATION:

End of April/Beginning of May – Scoresheet Overview with Judges

May 15th   Taking applications for sanctioning events, Sanctioning events will be different this year

Region Competitions:  Must be sanctioned at least 30 days prior  No sanctioning Fee
