Working alongside Design & Technology teacher Mr. Daly, the Engineering Club team dedicated over 50 hours to designing, building, and programming a competition robot capable of launching projectiles with impressive accuracy. Their hard work paid off with a series of strong performances during the qualifying rounds, including achieving the regional high score of 196 points and winning four out of five matches.
Ranked 4th overall, ASD was selected for the elimination rounds, where the team demonstrated excellent teamwork and technical skill to secure a podium finish. The ASD Dragons finished 3rd overall and were also awarded the Think Award for innovation, while Mr. Daly received the Committed Coach Award.
The competition provided students with a valuable opportunity to develop skills in engineering, programming, teamwork, and problem-solving, while representing ASD with enthusiasm and professionalism.
