Updates / Announcements

This course will emphasize the fundamentals of playing a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument, to establish a great starting point to enjoy the art of making music. Through learning a band instrument, students will develop and practice our core virtues at Ascent – Courage, Moderation, Justice, Responsibility, Prudence, Friendship, and Wonder. Students will develop skills on their chosen instrument and remain on the instrument throughout the whole year. We will perform as an ensemble on the concert date listed below.

Required Materials

Students are to bring the below materials to every class

Brass Instruments (Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba)

Woodwind Instruments (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone)
