Mrs. May  |  Music  |  Ascent of Northern Colorado

Mrs. May grew up in the Chicago area where she found her love for music. Since then she has been a member of multiple collegiate and professional ensembles and has performed in Brazil, Trinidad, and across the United States. She has also written and contributed to multiple articles in the Percussive Arts Society publications Rhythm Scene and Percussive Notes. When Mrs. May isn't playing music or teaching she enjoys traveling and watching sports.

 Mrs. May holds a Masters degree in Percussion Performance from Winthrop University and a Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin. This is her 7th year of teaching, and her fourth year at Ascent Classical Academy. She is very excited for the school year!
