Supporting Your Child At Home

Muckle Moo helping YOU!

When Big Feelings Strike!

We all know that our children and young people can experience a range of feelings and emotions from time to time, however, it can sometimes be difficult to understand the "why?" behind the "what?"

On Wednesday 22nd November 2023, our school's educational psychologist, and the Ellon Cluster Intervention Prevention Teacher, joined us for a "Meiklemill Blether" to look at how we can support our children when "Big Feelings Strike".

During their presentations, Ali and Jenny looked into the science behind why big feelings can have a big impact, and provided some practical tips that can be used straight away to support your child in moments where they (and parents/carers) might be finding things tricky to navigate.

This Blether session was recorded on the night and with the speakers' permission, we can make it available for you to re-watch below.
