Level 5 Employability
Level 5 Customer Services

This course is a 2 period per week course for S6 pupils only. It is not suitable for S4/5 pupils as it will likely run across timetable columns. Any S4/5 pupils looking to take Barista Skills should take the Barista Skills and Employability.

Current Techniques in Long Hair: Basic (SCQF level 5)
"The focus of this Unit is practical. The candidate will develop skills in research, planning, preparation and styling techniques which will enable them to produce three current long hair styles, and cultivate an understanding of influencing factors, skills in communication and the importance of giving advice and guidance. This Unit is suitable for those with little of no skills in styling long hair."
Bridal and Evening Make-Up (SCQF level 5)
"The focus of this Unit is practical. Candidates will gain skills in make-up application through the use of products and techniques. On the completion of the Unit candidates will be able to consult with a client, identify contra-indications, prepare and apply bridal and evening make-ups. This Unit is suitable for candidates with knowledge of Facial Skin Care and Day Make-up but may also be studied by candidates with little or no knowledge in this area."
Salon Skills: The Essentials
"This Unit introduces candidates to customer care skills. They will communicate with clients, develop consultation techniques, provide a relevant client service and develop selling techniques. On successful completion of this Unit candidates will be able to identify clients’ needs, provide a relevant client service and conclude by providing effective recommendations specific to individual needs."

This course is a condensed 2-period per week course for S6 pupils. It is not suitable for those that have studied, or are studying the Business Skills Foundation Apprenticeship as it is a component of the FA.
PC Passport at SCQF levels 5 and 6 provides learners with up-to-date knowledge and skills in a range of popular IT software, such as Office 365. Learners will improve skills in key areas such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, preparing them for employment and further study.
