Meet the Owner
ARUS was founded by Parker Lahti in 2017. With over a decade of experience in building science and energy efficiency advising, 5200+ assessments under his belt, and 30 full home renovations completed under his supervision, Parker founded ARUS to create a new model for residential energy assessment firms. ARUS is committed to the communities we serve and resident education. He still gets his boots muddy in the field--primarily with pilot services and assessment development--and he supervises both the administrative and field-advising teams. The great success and growth of ARUS has come mostly from word of mouth and relationships created in past projects.

About Us
ARUS Consulting is a leading energy efficiency consulting firm based in Colorado and dedicated to supporting community climate goals by providing utility customers with personalized efficiency advising, on-site diagnostics, energy assessments, building science information, education and support in implementing retrofit efficiency upgrades. ARUS is a top-tier consulting company in every program that we service and we have been awarded the Top 10 Rebate Producer for home energy audits from Xcel Energy since our inaugural year as consultants. We do not have a sales team; our role as building science experts is to provide homeowners with testing, advising and support services to make informed decisions on efficiency retrofit upgrades and reduce residential fuel consumption. We have completed more than 6,000 energy audits across the state and are rapidly expanding with new team member additions to support our growing demand.
ARUS is a small family-owned company. Our team members are expected to have attention to detail, independent work ethic, and strong communication skills. Careful attention to detail is required for the type of testing and data analysis conducted by our field auditors. Since field auditors work in a remote/hybrid setting, independent work ethic and intrinsic motivation to meet our standard of customer support is a requirement. Communication with customers and our support team is critical to deliver the level and quality of work our clients and customers expect of ARUS.
Our Team
ARUS’s expert assessment team (Field Advisors) of BPI, HERS, and HES certified building scientists conduct residential clipboard, standard, home checkup, streamline, and virtual efficiency assessments for multiple utility programs.
The ARUS team collectively provides the most up-to-date building science and custom efficiency education to every homeowner and resident that we have the privilege to serve. This begins with an attitude of care, curiosity, and building expertise from the time of scheduling and continues with accurate testing and data analysis in accordance with the industry’s best practices, Building Performance Institute (BPI) standards, and Department of Energy Home Energy Score criteria.
We are here to be your unbiased third-party energy efficiency experts eager and available to help them navigate the programs, rebates, financing, project priorities, and ensure they you the most accurate and inclusive information to make the best efficiency decisions for your home. We are more than happy to help anyone review contractor bids and educate you as a homeowner (or renter) what to look out for.
