In this project you will learn how to work with text as you create your own Time magazine cover
Red border around the page
White rectangular block
The "Time" masthead (magazine's title)
"Person of the Year" header
The image of your choice
Open a new file in PIXLR E: size Portrait 8x10 in. Find an image for your magazine cover.
Then, use a fill tool to fill in the whole page with red color (that will be the color of the red border).
Use the Shape tool to add the white rectangle in the middle of the page.
Use the Arrange tool (the Black arrow) to transform and change the size of the white rectangle
Use the Text tool to add the Time masthead. Note: it will be on a separate text layer. Change the font so it is similar to the original Time font.
Add the "Person of the Year" text. Change the fill to white and add the "Outline" style
Now add the "person of the year" picture - it can be any portrait of a person or a cartoon character.
You will need to move the picture layer to the back of the layer with the Time text.
To make the person's head overlap the text, you can simply duplicate the layer with the picture and move it IN THE FRONT of the Time layer. Then, on this new layer, using the Eraser tool, remove the background around the person's head.
