MTSS
A multi-tiered support system encompasses all of the supports in place to aid your student to become successful academically, socially, and emotionally. The Title Team works with classroom teachers in the academic arena while the behavior supports we have at the Arts Academy aid with students' social and emotional skills.
How Does Title I fit into a Muli-Tiered Support System?
Title I is a program designed to help students fill in academic gaps for students most in need. It is data-driven. Diagnostic scores in reading and math, oral reading fluency assessments, PSSA scores, formative assessments, summative assessments, and teacher input are used to determine if a student needs extra supports. Our goal is to eventually exit the student out of Title I and into the regular educational classroom during the Encore time period once the student has mastered the missing skills. The student is continually monitored throughout this process.
